A ball rolls down an slope, and continues to roll horizontally when it reaches the bottom. How is the stopping distance related to the friction between the ball and the surface?

Set the friction coefficient k with the arrow keys and release the ball with  Start button. Measure the stopping distance  S in the simulation window, and graph  S as a function of k in the bottom window. Larger values of  k correspond to more friction, and so  k = 0 implies frictionless movement.
